Learners must achieve the six mandatory units and a minimum of 56 credits from the optional units
The purpose of the qualification is to develop the knowledge and skills of learners who wish to pursue a career in speedway riding. The content covers a wide range of relevant areas including health and safety, working with sponsors, business skills, and basic engineering and maintenance skills.
16-18 & 19+
Learners should have a minimum of level two in literacy and numeracy or equivalent and must either hold a qualification in First Aid such as TQUK Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (QCF) or TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF) OR undertake one concurrently The qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above. Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as: Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology - Motorsport Level 3 Diploma in Engineering Technology - Motorsport Level 3 Diploma in Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair Competence Level 2 Diploma in Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 3 Diploma in Motorcycle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 2 Diploma in Motorcycle Maintenance & Repair Competence
